Job summary

Parkland School Division No 70 Centre for Education seeks an Educational Assistant for Normandeau School in Red Deer, Alberta. This 30-hour-per-week position starts asap and continues until June 30, 2027.

The successful candidate will support students in grades 2-3, collaborate with school staff, and help foster inclusive education by building positive relationships and providing targeted assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or comparable education
• Ability to build upon and facilitate positive relationships through valued attachments
• Ability to support inclusive education opportunities for students in a variety of grades
• Experience with Complex Special Educational Needs and Autism is considered an asset
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member
• Ability to work with paraprofessionals such as speech pathologist, occupational therapists and school based learning team
• NVCI or SIVA training would be considered an asset
