Job summary

Red Deer Public Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students at Don Campbell Elementary. This part-time role provides 24 hours weekly and begins August 24, 2026.

The successful applicant will provide behavioural support to students in grades K-5, with an emphasis on helping those who have special education needs and behaviour challenges. Experience with Autism and complex needs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or comparable education is an asset.
• Ability to work with students who have special education needs and behaviour challenges.
• Candidate would ideally have experience working with Autism and complex needs
• Comfortable working independently, with minimal guidance.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Toileting and lifting may be required
