Job summary

Microart Services Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician in Markham, ON to perform quality inspections on electronic and mechanical products. The role reports to the QC Team Lead within the SM Quality - Front End department and runs on a 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM shift.

The position offers a rate of $18.10/hr with responsibilities including inspection, data collection, and rework of soldered assemblies. The candidate should have at least 2 years in electronic assembly/inspection and strong English

Qualifications

• 2+ years in electronic assembly and inspection; rework a bonus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards; IPC-A-610 guidelines preferred.
• Strong workmanship standards and attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of quality standards and control procedures.
• Detail oriented, reliable and well organized; analytical.
• Able to communicate in written and spoken English.
• Good close-up vision and ability to work with magnifier.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections on electronic and mechanical products.
• Read and follow detailed written instructions and document inspection data.
• Record inspection results according to procedure; maintain quality records.
• Perform rework on soldered electrical assemblies as needed.
• Provide feedback to team; assist in training new inspectors.
• Participate in team quality meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support certification programs to update knowledge and skills.
• Contribute to training and quality improvement initiatives across the team.
