Ferme des Voltigeurs in Drummondville seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee the plant's preventive and corrective maintenance programs. You will manage planning, scheduling, and repairs, collaborating with the team leader and suppliers to minimize downtime.

The role requires analytical thinking, rigour, and autonomy, with responsibility for prioritising tasks and supporting operational continuity in a food production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience.
• Knowledge of the food industry (asset).
• Experience in using a computerized inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance planning and scheduling for plant equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance per the established plan and inspect machinery for failures.
• Carry out corrective maintenance and repairs based on priority and parts availability; support the team leader and suppliers as needed.
• Read electrical plans to determine causes of problems and implement adjustments.
• Receive and process requests from the team leader and coordinate with departments on equipment issues.

Job description

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent oversees the department's planning and scheduling. He/She performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment in the plant, according to the established maintenance plan. He/She repairs broken machines as needed in collaboration with the team leader.

• 2 positions are currently available: 2 different schedules, one from Friday to Monday during the day (from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and the other from Monday to Thursday evening (2 p.m. to 00:30 a.m.)

Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance:

• Carry out the preventive maintenance plan for all equipment present in the plant
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment for malfunctions and failures

Corrective Maintenance:

• Perform repairs on equipment according to established priorities and parts availability
• Support suppliers who work on equipment
• Help find alternative solutions (e.g., replacing a part with a better quality one, etc.) for recurring breakdowns
• Receive requests from your team leader and process them according to established priorities
• Support departments on equipment adjustment issues
• Perform electrical plan reading to determine the cause of the problem
