Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is seeking an Electrician to install and terminate conduit, cables, equipment, panels and sensors for control systems at our Nisku facility. You will fabricate and assemble control panels, wiring and precision components in a safety-driven environment.

Role requires Red Seal or AIT certification, ability to read schematics, and experience mentoring apprentices. Strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and preventive maintenance planning within a techno-commercial

Qualifications

  • Licensed Electrician with Red Seal or AIT certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
  • Adhere to vendor manuals for assembly and installation instructions.
  • Complete and update assigned work orders daily.
  • Assist in training and supervising juniors, inspecting and certifying their work.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Stay current on changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques.
  • Monitor parts usage and report material issues.
  • Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Propose changes to plans to improve operation and efficiency of systems.
  • Install and terminate conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors and control devices.
  • Construct and fabricate control panels and wiring for control systems.
  • Install interlocking wiring and perform wiring check out.
  • Install components and wiring in compliance with NEC/NESC/NFPA/UFC.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and devices.
  • Follow Silent-Aire safety program and Alberta safety codes.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Overview

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.


This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work on rotating day shift (6 AM - 6 PM, including weekends) and Monday to Thursday Nightshift (6 PM - 5:30 AM).

TheElectrician isprimarily responsible for installing andterminatingconduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices for Silent-Aire Limited Partnership. This position constructs andfabricates control panels/systems and installs interlocking wiringand performs wiring check out.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics todeterminework procedures.

  • Adhere to assembly and installation instructionsset forth invendor manuals.

  • Complete and update assigned work orders daily.

  • Assistin training, directing, andsupervision of junior employees and apprentices, inspecting and certifying their work.

  • Keep detailed andaccuratemaintenance reports and documentation.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.

  • Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.

  • Assistin preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.

  • Propose changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for facilities.

  • Install andterminateconduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices.

  • Construct and fabricate control panels and rough and finish wiring and control systems.

  • Install interlocking wiring and perform wiring check out.

  • Install system components and wiring in compliance with the NEC, NESC, NFPA and the UFC.

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, andmaintainelectrical control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devices.

  • Perform all dutiesin accordance withSilent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

  • Other duties asrequired.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • LicensedElectrician - must have a Red Seal or AIT certified and 500+ hours in blue book.

  • Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairingvarious typesof machinery and equipment.

  • Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.

  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Familiarity with quality standards.

  • Accurate and highly analytical.

  • Experience in supervising and mentoring apprentices.

  • Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations an asset.

  • Able to work well under pressure.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionallyat all times.

  • Strong workethicand positive team attitude.

Working Conditions
