Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a Johnson Controls subsidiary, seeks an Electrician for our Nisku facility. The role involves installing and terminating conduit, cables, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components for hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing wiring checkouts, constructing control panels, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician with a Red Seal or AIT certification.
• 500+ hours in blue book.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, schematics and manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience supervising and mentoring apprentices.
• Familiarity with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset.

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and control devices.
• Assist in training and supervision of apprentices, inspecting their work.
• Maintain maintenance reports and documentation.
• Adhere to safety program standards and OH&S Act.

Overview

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work on rotating day shift (6 AM - 6 PM, including weekends) and Monday to Thursday Nightshift (6 PM - 5:30 AM).

TheElectrician isprimarily responsible for installing andterminatingconduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices for Silent-Aire Limited Partnership. This position constructs andfabricates control panels/systems and installs interlocking wiringand performs wiring check out.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and schematics todeterminework procedures.

• Adhere to assembly and installation instructionsset forth invendor manuals.

• Complete and update assigned work orders daily.

• Assistin training, directing, andsupervision of junior employees and apprentices, inspecting and certifying their work.

• Keep detailed andaccuratemaintenance reports and documentation.

• Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.

• Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.

• Assistin preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.

• Propose changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for facilities.

• Install andterminateconduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• LicensedElectrician - must have a Red Seal or AIT certified and 500+ hours in blue book.

• Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairingvarious typesof machinery and equipment.

• Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.

• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

• Familiarity with quality standards.

• Accurate and highly analytical.

• Experience in supervising and mentoring apprentices.

• Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations an asset.

• Able to work well under pressure.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionallyat all times.

• Strong workethicand positive team attitude.
