Job summary

MMi Electrical, a St. Albert-based contractor in the Greater Edmonton Area, seeks a Journeyman Electrician to lead on residential renovation projects, ensuring safe, reliable electrical installations. The role involves working with a small team, meeting schedules, and delivering high-quality workmanship.

Candidates with Journeyman or Red Seal credentials, 3–5 years in residential construction, and a strong work ethic are preferred. Apprentices with relevant skills will be considered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an electrician on residential renovation/construction projects.
• Journeyman Electrician with recent residential construction experience; Apprentice Electrician considered with right skills.
• Punctual, attentive, coachable, and eager to contribute to a supportive company culture.
• Enthusiasm and willingness to develop; good communication and teamwork; basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical supports and brackets on project sites.
• Install, replace and repair lighting and electrical components.
• Splice, join and connect wires.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Owner (A Master Electrician), the Journeyman Electrician or preferably Red Seal Journeyman Electrician is responsible for following the leadership and supervision of the manager and acting as a leader on project sites on behalf of MMi Electrical. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and reliable installation and maintenance of all electrical systems within each project.

Working with a small team of electricians you will be engaged and involved in each project from a personal perspective. You are responsible to make sure that your tasks follow the schedule, that you are professional, and that you work to support the needs of our clients.

• Install electrical supports & brackets
• Install, replace & repairing lighting & electrical components

Journeyman Electrician with recent residential construction experience, however we will consider an Apprentice Electrician with the right skills, credentials and experience as well.

3-5 years of experience working as an electrician on residential renovation and/or construction projects.

It would be great if you had some service electrical experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Monday to Friday work schedule
