Job summary

Johns Manville in Innisfail, Alberta is hiring an Electrician to join our Electrical Maintenance Team. The starting wage is $55.50/hr, with a full benefits package including retirement, health, life, vision, travel and dental insurance.

The role requires a fully qualified electrician with Canadian trade certification and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience. A continuous 12-hour shift rotation is expected.

Qualifications

• Alberta Electrician Trade Certificate or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of proven industrial plant maintenance experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Above average teamwork skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office & Outlook).
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley VFD, PLC 5/500 and RSLOGIX 5000.
• Experience with Ethernet, Control Net and Data Highway.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical systems on the plant floor as part of the Electrical Maintenance Team.
• Troubleshoot faults and implement timely fixes to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Be willing to work a continuous 12 hour shift rotation.
• Adhere to safety, environmental and company policies.

As a member of the Electrical Maintenance Team, you must have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

• Fully Qualified Electrician with an Alberta Electrician Trade Certificate or equivalent (Inter Provincial Seal preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years proven industrial plant maintenance experience
• Good communication skills
• Above average teamwork skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer skill (Microsoft Office & Outlook)
• Allen Bradley VFD, PLC 5,500 and RSLOGIX 5000 knowledge
• Ethernet, Control Net and Data Highway experience
