Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on quarry equipment and plant systems in Alberta. You will install, upgrade, and repair electrical and control systems, diagnose issues with motors, conveyors, crushers, and instrumentation, and support preventive maintenance to boost reliability and reduce downtime.

The role operates in a demanding industrial environment, including underground and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician certification with strong industrial electrical capability.
• Troubleshoot and solve complex electrical and instrumentation issues.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
• Work may include time spent in an underground quarry environment with confined spaces, low-light conditions, uneven terrain, and the need to follow strict underground safety protocols.
