Job summary

Olymel is seeking an Electromechanical Technician (WKD) in St-Esprit to join our maintenance team. You will support preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment, ensure optimal operation, and contribute to production efficiency.

The role involves interpreting drawings, using measuring tools, performing lubrication, and working on hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Welding experience is a plus; food manufacturing experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma required: DVS/DEP in Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics or similar field.
• Experience in electromechanics in an industrial setting; food manufacturing exp is an asset.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, specs, and technical docs.
• Use measuring instruments and perform lubrication operations.
• Disassemble/install/adjust shafts, bearings, bushings.
• Maintain/repair pumps, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Troubleshoot automation and industrial equipment; perform welding and machining as needed.
• Design or modify equipment and adjust it during production.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electromechanical Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and preventive maintenance of equipment, including:

Responsibilities

• Interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation;
• Using measuring instruments;
• Performing lubrication operations;
• Carrying out disassembly, installation, and adjustment of shafts, bearings, and bushings;
• Maintaining and repairing motion transmission and conversion components and systems;
• Maintaining and repairing industrial pumps and motors;
• Assembling, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
• Applying logical troubleshooting and diagnostic methods;
• Troubleshooting automated systems;
• Performing cutting, welding, machining, and grinding work;
• Troubleshooting industrial equipment;
• Designing or modifying industrial equipment;
• Adjusting industrial equipment during production;
• Performing any other related duties.

Your Qualifications For The Position

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or another relevant field;
• Experience in electromechanics within an industrial environment (food manufacturing experience is considered an asset);
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems;

Welding experience with TIG, MIG, and Arc welding (asset).
