Job summary

Olymel is seeking an Electromechanical Technician for the Night shift in St-Esprit. You will be responsible for the operation and preventive maintenance of industrial equipment, interpreting drawings, performing lubrication, and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications include a DVS/DEP in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics, with experience in electromechanics in an industrial setting. Welding skills (TIG/MIG/Arc) are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in electromechanics or industrial mechanics.
• Experience in electromechanics in an industrial environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation and preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Use measuring instruments and perform lubrication operations.
• Disassemble, install and adjust shafts, bearings and bushings.
• Maintain and repair motion transmission and conversion systems.
• Maintain and repair pumps and motors.
• Assemble and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Apply troubleshooting and diagnostic methods; troubleshoot automated systems.
• Perform cutting, welding, machining and grinding operations.
• Troubleshoot industrial equipment and modify equipment as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Role, Your Impact

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electromechanical Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and preventive maintenance of equipment, including:

• Interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation;
• Using measuring instruments;
• Performing lubrication operations;
• Carrying out disassembly, installation, and adjustment of shafts, bearings, and bushings;
• Maintaining and repairing motion transmission and conversion components and systems;
• Maintaining and repairing industrial pumps and motors;
• Assembling, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
• Applying logical troubleshooting and diagnostic methods;
• Troubleshooting automated systems;
• Performing cutting, welding, machining, and grinding work;
• Troubleshooting industrial equipment;
• Designing or modifying industrial equipment;
• Adjusting industrial equipment during production;
• Performing any other related duties.

Your Qualifications For The Position

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or another relevant field;
• Experience in electromechanics within an industrial environment (food manufacturing experience is considered an asset);
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems;
• Welding experience with TIG, MIG, and Arc welding (asset).
