Your future role on our team

The Senior Field Services Specialist position will include the leadership and execution of various maintenance, installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities routinely conducted by the Field Services team on high voltage equipment. The Senior Specialist will work closely with their team and the client to ensure the proper completion of a project. This position is a great fit for individuals with extensive experience in utility electrical systems. Candidates with hands-on experience, who can think on their feet, and who value delivering a quality customer experience will be preferred for this role.

Responsibilities include:

1. Complete maintenance activities on protection and control systems
2. Complete maintenance activities on high voltage apparatus
3. Oversee business relations and the quality of professional services
4. Prepare service offers
5. Monitor worksite projects at clients’ facilities
6. Define safety procedures and criteria
7. Draft commissioning reports
8. Participate in detailed engineering projects
9. Draft technical documents, calculation notes, and estimates
10. Work in outdoor environments in remote locations
11. Apply and improve established work methods
12. Oversee business relations and service quality

Minimum requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, degree in Electrical Engineering, or relevant education
• 7-15 years of experience in electrical apparatus maintenance and testing
• 7-15 years of experience in protection relay programming and testing
• 7-15 years of experience in control system testing
• Comfort working in severe weather conditions
• Ability to drive in remote locations and winter roads
• Ability to work in remote locations with limited communication
• Ability to lift 70 lbs consistently
