Job summary

Enbridge at the Hardisty terminal is seeking an Electrical Technician II to maintain the safety, reliability, and performance of pipeline operations. You will support electrical and instrumentation systems, respond to emergencies, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, safety-first environment.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company policies and O&M procedure requirements.
  • Complete safety and technical training.
  • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot pipeline electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
  • Coordinate with Supervisors, Planners, Schedulers and other Technicians to plan, schedule and finish work safely and efficiently.
  • Document maintenance work and update drawings using work management software.
  • Maintain facilities for cleanliness, safety and security.

As an Electrical Technician II at our Hardisty terminal, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of our pipeline operations. In this hands‑on position, you will support essential infrastructure by ensuring electrical and instrumentation systems operate efficiently, responding to emergencies, and contributing to continuous improvement across our facilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, safety‑first environment and is ready to make a direct impact on operational excellence.

What you will do:
  • A dhere with all Company Policies and ensure that work is performed in compliance with company Operating and Maintenance (O&M) procedure requirements.
  • Complete and stay current with all required safety and technical training.
  • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot our pipeline systems electrical equipment including substation equipment, medium voltage switchgear, motor control centers, communication networks and instrumentation systems.
  • Coordinate with Supervisors, Planners, Schedulers, other Technicians and other stakeholders as required to plan, schedule, and finish the work safely and efficiently.
  • Use work management software to document maintenance work, maintain facility records and update drawings as required.
  • Maintain facilities for cleanliness, safety and security.
Who you are:
  • Journeyperson Electrical with interprovincial certification with minimum of 2 years of related industrial experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with above average analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Role requires a valid driver's license, which will be verified with a driver's abstract check prior to hire.
  • Undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check and a company sponsored medical and drug testing.
Working Conditions:
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 40hr work week with a scheduled 24/7 on-call rotation. Emergency response and overtime as required.
  • This position requires climbing, bending, lifting, standing and crouching on a repetitive basis.
  • Daily travel required within the area. Occasional travel within Canada.
  • Mix of office and field environment.
  • Working in hazardous or restricted locations such as pump rooms, confined spaces, tank lots, and classified areas within.
