Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Licensed Industrial Electrician to join our team and ensure our equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably while upholding the principles of quality, cleanliness, 5S, and lean manufacturing.

Shift and Compensation

Shift: 12 Hour continental rotating shift schedule
Salary: $42.92/hr with shift premiums of $0.55 on afternoons and $0.85 on nights + Benefits + triannual profit-sharing

Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair
  2. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair corrugators, die cutters, flexographic printers, folder-gluers, and conveyor systems.
  3. Diagnose and repair electrical systems to minimize downtime.
  4. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems, motors, drives, and control panels.
  5. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical equipment in a high-speed industrial environment.
  6. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  7. Work with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and automated systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
  8. Assist with electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  9. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
  10. Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
Computer Controls & PLC Troubleshooting
  1. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to PLCs, HMIs, and other automated control systems.
  2. Work with sensors, motor drives, and control circuits to ensure proper machine operation.
  3. Assist in the modification, calibration, and programming of PLCs when needed.
  4. Utilize diagnostics and industrial software tools to analyze and resolve equipment failures.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  1. Follow and improve preventive maintenance schedules.
  2. Utilize predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis and thermal imaging.
  3. Maintain proper documentation of maintenance work and equipment conditions.
Safety, 5S, and Continuous Improvement
  1. Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S methodology.
  2. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste.
  3. Promote a culture of efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement.
  4. Ensure maintenance tasks are completed with minimal production disruption.
Safety & Compliance
  1. Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety protocols.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections.
  3. Participate in safety meetings and training.
Professional Growth
  1. Recommend and implement process improvements.
  2. Stay updated with new maintenance technologies and industry practices.
  3. Mentor junior mechanics or apprentices.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Valid Ontario Industrial Electrician License 442A or 309A.
  2. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing.
  3. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and safety knowledge.
  4. Experience with PLC programming is an asset.
  5. Ability to work independently and in teams.
  6. Strong communication and organizational skills.
