Job summary

Plan Group Inc. is actively seeking an Electrical Project Coordinator in Toronto to support project managers and site supervisors, develop and maintain schedules, and ensure project targets are met on commercial electrical construction projects.

You will manage document control, attend site meetings, and assist with forecasting, cost control, and the company TIME efficiency program. The role emphasizes proactive problem identification and collaboration on landmark projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year related experience; trade experience is a definite asset.
• Experience in electrical construction is an asset.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; Primavera is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and maintain the project schedule and targets.
• Maintain and update document control logs and project management procedures (change orders, as-built drawings, close-out documents).
• Provide status updates and support with forecasting, cost control, and efficiency programs.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and oversee sub-trades.
• Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
• Maintain records of materials and progress per company guidelines.
• Identify potential problems or schedule delays and escalate to management.

As An Electrical Project Coordinator, You Will

• Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and actively maintain the project schedule and ensure project targets are achieved.
• Maintain and update document control logs and follow through on project management procedures: change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents.
• Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control and Plan Group's T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and provide oversight of sub-trades.
• Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
• Maintain records of all materials used and the progress made on the job in line with company guidelines.
• Proactively identify and bring to management's attention potential problems and/or schedule delays.

Our Ideal Candidate Has

• You have related Electrical Engineering post-secondary education.
• You have a minimum of one (1) year of related experience; trade experience is a definite asset.
• Experience in electrical construction is a strong asset for the role
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project; experience with scheduling software such as Primavera an asset.
• You have experience analyzing and understanding mechanical construction drawings and experience working on commercial projects.
