Job summary

Plan Group Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator, Electrical Construction to support project managers and site supervisors across multi-million dollar projects in Canada.

You will help develop and maintain schedules, manage documentation, and coordinate trades and deliveries while tracking progress against targets. Ideal candidates have electrical engineering education and at least one year of related experience, with strong MS Office and MS Project skills; Primavera is an asset.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering post-secondary education.
• Minimum of one year of related experience; trade experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project; Primavera is an asset.
• Experience interpreting mechanical construction drawings and working on commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and maintain the project schedule, achieving targets.
• Maintain and update document control logs; manage change orders and close out documents.
• Provide status updates and assist with project forecasting, cost control and TIME efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries; oversee sub-trades.
• Attend site meetings and document meeting minutes.
• Maintain records of materials used and progress per company guidelines.
• Identify potential problems or delays and escalate to management.

As a Project Coordinator, Electrical Construction, you:

• Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and actively maintain the project schedule and ensure project targets are achieved.
• Maintain and update document control logs and follow through on project management procedures: change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents.
• Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control and Plan Group's T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and provide oversight of sub-trades.
• Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
• Maintain records of all materials used and the progress made on the job in line with company guidelines.
• Proactively identify and bring to management's attention potential problems and/or schedule delays.

Our ideal candidate has:

• You have related Electrical Engineering post-secondary education.
• You have a minimum of one (1) year of related experience; trade experience is a definite asset.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project; experience with scheduling software such as Primavera an asset.
• You have experience analyzing and understanding mechanical construction drawings and experience working on commercial projects.
