Job summary

Edgewater Industrial Services in Haileybury, Ontario, is seeking a JM Electrician or Instrumentation Technician for a full-time project assignment near Temiskaming Shores. The role involves electrical/instrumentation work, drawing review, and document control on industrial construction projects, with 10-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

You will manage logs (RFI, RFQ, transmittals), participate in project meetings, and ensure accurate minutes distribution.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial construction experience with electrical or instrumentation background.
• Experience with drawings review, management and distribution.
• Strong document control process knowledge and implementation.
• Facilitation of project meetings and minute compilation.
• Distribution of minutes and assigning responsibilities.
• Daily reporting and management of logs (RFI, RFQ, Transmittals).
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Adobe and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage drawings for projects.
• Distribute approved documents and track action items.
• Lead project meetings and compile meeting minutes.
• Maintain logs and respond to RFIs, RFQs and transmittals.
• Support daily reporting and project documentation.

Our comprehensive range of services encompasses installation, inspection, maintenance, and facility and equipment management in the Mining, Forestry and Oil and Gas industries.

Details:

Location: Temiskaming Shores area

Job Type: Full-Time / Project Assignment

Rate: $45 to $55 per hour depending on experience

Hours per Day: 10 hours per day paid (7:00 am to 5:30 pm - 1/2 hour unpaid lunch)

Travel/Accommodations/Meals: Flights or show up allowance, meals ($55/day worked), accommodations provided (depending on candidates' main residence)

Shift Rotation Options:

A) 6 days on/1 day off for a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks. Upon completion of rotation, employees are eligible for 7 to 10 days off

B) 21 days on followed by 7 to 10 days off

Experience Required:

• 2+ years previous experience in industrial construction with technical or engineering background related to electrical or instrumentation
• Understanding of, and aid in, the review, management, and distribution of drawings
• Experienced ands strong understanding of document control process
  
• Facilitation project meetings and managing meeting minute compilation
• Distribution of minutes and assigning accountabilities
• Daily reporting and managing logs such as RFI, RFQ, Transmittals etc.
• Experience with Bluebeam preferred
  
• Strong computer skills
• Experience with Adobe and Excel programs
