  • Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, reviewing designs for accuracy.
  • Design primary and secondary power distribution systems.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect installations for compliance.
  • Serve as a technical consultant on-site and in-house.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The client is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of electrical systems, particularly in industrial settings like the Food & Beverage industry. This position demands a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to deliver high-quality designs on time while ensuring safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably in Food & Beverage or Pharmaceuticals.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
  • Proven experience with electrical system design, particularly in a consulting or project management capacity.
  • Familiarity with complex electrical distribution networks, including cogeneration systems.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as required, with reliable personal transportation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design primary and secondary power distribution systems, including high and low voltage equipment.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect electrical installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a technical consultant, both in-house and on-site, providing expert advice and troubleshooting support.
