Job summary

Vale is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Planner for its Utilities Maintenance Integrated Planning Team at the Voisey’s Bay operation in Labrador. This is a permanent, on-site role with a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation.

You will develop maintenance and construction plans for electrical infrastructure and coordinate planning with maintenance, operations, and other departments. Qualifications include a college diploma in an electrical field, 5+ years in maintenance planning in heavy

• College diploma in Industrial Electrician, Instrumentation & Control Technician or other electrical-focused post-secondary education.
• At least five years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance supervision, or related discipline in heavy industry or mining.
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and Power BI.
• Understanding of industrial electrical systems, including LV/MV distribution, protection, motors, drives and control circuits.
• Interprovincial Red Seal in Industrial Electrician or Instrumentation & Control Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work packages in accordance with safety procedures and quality standards.
• Track planned versus actual labour, materials, resources, and costs.
• Improve material selection, work practices, and planning processes.
• Coordinate parts requisitions, procurement follow-up, and job kits with Material Coordinators.
• Participate in weekly planning, scheduling, and work-order priority meetings.
• Support maintenance shutdown planning, prioritization, project controls, and safe execution with internal teams and contractors.

About the role
