Electrical / Lighting Design Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE

Parsons is hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer for our expanding portfolio of projects. Our extensive experience in this field, combined with your engineering knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunities for advancement. This role primarily supports the design functions on infrastructure and road tunnels for electrical equipment and systems. The candidate will apply electrical engineering techniques and standards, review drawings with electrical CAD designers, and provide technical input for procurement and installation.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Prepare electrical engineering computations, material estimates, surveys, designs, specifications, data sheets, and construction documents.
2. Create detailed requisitions for electrical equipment, review supplier drawings, and perform technical bid analyses.
3. Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and lower-level engineers.
4. Design electrical power distribution systems and prepare LV lighting designs for roads, underpasses, and tunnels using Dialux and Relux.
5. Design traffic signals.
6. Calculate power cable sizing.
7. Prepare technical reports and deliver PowerPoint presentations for clients.
8. Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate.

What Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design for large infrastructure and road projects.
• Proficiency with Dialux and Relux software.
• Basic understanding of ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, and ELV systems.
• Knowledge of CIE 115, CIE 140, CIE 88 standards and regional electricity authority regulations (DEWA & SEWA).

Desired Skills:

• Approval from DM/RTA is an advantage.
• Experience with AutoCAD is beneficial.
