Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking an Electrical Labourer for the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. You will report to the Electrical Supervisor and support the Maintenance Team in safe, continuous mining operations. Expect CMMS data entry, material handling, and close teamwork across trades to keep equipment running efficiently.

The role emphasizes safe work practices, accurate record-keeping, and applying 5S principles while contributing to a respectful, environmentally conscious workplace.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand electrical prints or learn to do so.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities are required.
• Ability to set priorities and adapt to changing technology.
• Good planning, teamwork, and self-motivation are essential.
• Basic computer literacy and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate elevated work platforms, mine tractors, and RTVs safely.
• Prepare job sites and set up materials for activities.
• Assist trades and coordinate on-site installations.
• Maintain accurate underground material stock records.
• Assist with cable pulls and equipment installations; ensure tools are organized.
• Participate in safe lockout procedures and apply 5S principles.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Team. You will be an integral member supporting the safe and continuous Mining operation of the site. Working in a supportive team environment, working with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), you have responsibility to ensure all information recorded is as accurate as possible. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Operating equipment such as elevated work platforms, mine tractors and RTV’s;
• Facilitate job site preparation and material set up;
• Participate in job site final walk through;
• Assist Trades personnel in the coordination of on-site activities and installations;
• Provide input relating to the resolution of any design or installation issues;
• Keep accurate records of underground material stock levels;
• Assist with cable pulls and equipment installations;
• Ensure tools are organized and in good repair;
• Participate in safe lockout;
• Apply 5 S principles - Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain;
• All other duties as directed by supervisor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Must be able to read or learn to read and understand electrical prints;
• Must have good communication and leadership skills;
• Able to set priorities;
• Ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technology;
• Good people skills, and good planning;
• Basic computer skills, written and verbal communication skills;
• Team player and self-motivator;
• Training in First Aid, Fall Protection;
• Experience in operating heavy equipment;
• Valid Drivers licence an advantage.
