Job description

Electrical Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee electrical installations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with all relevant standards and codes.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise electrical installations according to blueprints, CSA standards, and applicable codes.
2. Lead layout and planning of conduit, wiring, panels, and terminations; work alongside the crew to ensure high-quality execution.
3. Order electrical materials and equipment, oversee deliveries, and manage packing slips and inventory.
4. Direct, train, and mentor electricians and apprentices to ensure safe and effective performance.
5. Promote a positive work environment with accountability and teamwork.
6. Align electrical tasks with general contractor schedules and submit weekly look-ahead plans.
7. Coordinate with subcontractors, site superintendents, project managers, and engineers on scope overlaps or conflicts.
8. Ensure compliance with all workplace and electrical safety standards.
9. Track time, material usage, and labor hours through ADP and Site Docs.
10. Submit accurate daily reports, time entries, and ensure cost coding is correctly applied.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in electrical construction, with experience leading crews on active job sites.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, system layout, and installation procedures.
• Proficient in blueprint reading, troubleshooting, and interpretation of technical specifications.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Site Docs, ADP, and mobile project management tools.
