Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree or trade experience required.
• Experience with estimating software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review job specifications and drawings to develop competitive bids.
• Conduct site walk-throughs to prevent interferences and propose solutions.
• Produce material and labor take-offs using estimating software.

As anElectrical Estimator, you will:

• Review and understand job specifications and drawings and follow through with estimating process to develop competitive bids.
• Conduct site/tender walk-through to cross reference drawings to avoid site interferences and identify proactive solutions.
• Produce material and labour take-off through estimating software to develop accurate quotations.
• Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specification, wording, etc.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain pricing to include within the final quotation provided to client.
• Participate in closing the bid, including bid review meeting, etc.
• Participate in hand over meeting with Project management team after award.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Minimum five (5) years of Estimating experience within the electrical construction industry.
• An Electrical Engineering degree or diploma or released education and/or trade experience.
• Experience in Microsoft Office; with Accubid Pro and/or Enterprise, Live Count a definite asset.
