Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs and preparing competitive bids for electrical construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure our proposals are precise, competitive, and aligned with project goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Review and understand bid requirements, scope of work, and deliverables.
• Solicit and review quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings when necessary.
• Assist in project planning and budgeting during pre-construction.
• Coordinate with the project management team to transition from estimate to execution.
• Maintain historical cost databases and support continuous improvement in estimating practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Accubid).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with design-build projects is an asset.
• Electrical trade background or degree/diploma in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, permanent

Compensation: to commensurate with experience. We offer a very generous benefit package after probationary period.
