Your Opportunity

As an Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist, you will work with a team on multiple water and wastewater projects, including pump/lift stations. Tasks are performed under supervision of a Senior Technician or Engineer. This is ideal for a motivated individual eager to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with other disciplines for design compatibility.
  • Support project teams in developing design documents, plans, and reports.
  • Perform calculations for electrical system components.
  • Develop electrical models using proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Assist in design coordination and specification development within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Update equipment and tag lists.
  • Review shop drawings for technical accuracy.
  • Conduct site inspections during design or construction phases.
  • Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to optimize project tools and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure quality control of documents and contribute design ideas.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Ability to collaborate on complex projects.
  • Knowledge of electrical CEC code and standards like IEEE, ANSI, API, CSA.
  • Problem-solving skills with sound judgment and creativity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and recognize technical issues early.
Education And Experience
  • Electrical Engineering technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent.
  • 5-6 years experience in electrical design for water/wastewater projects.
Position primarily in an office; some field work may be required.
