Qualifications

• Currently pursuing post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or REVIT is an asset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of electrical systems in commercial, institutional, residential, public and private facilities.
• Prepare construction drawings per engineer directions.
• Assist with design sketches using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Check design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
• Print/plot drawings and update MCW records.
• Participate in site visits.

Our Company is currently seeking a self-motivated, hardworking electrical engineering student to join our Toronto office. Located just minutes from Union Station, this is an excellent opportunity for a student who is looking to grow and develop their professional career in the consulting industry. This exciting work integrated learning opportunity offers hands on experience in Electrical building design. This role would be a 4-12 month contract starting in May 2027.

Position: Electrical Engineering Student

Start Date:May 2027

Length of Contract: 4, 8, or 12 months (based on the student's availability and co-op/work term requirements)

Location:Downtown Toronto

Hourly Pay Rate: $22.00 - $27.00

The Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with the design of electrical systems in commercial, institutional, residential, public and private facilities
• Prepare construction drawings as directed by Project Engineer, Job Captain and Design Technologist
• Assist with the development and preparation of design sketches through the use of AutoCAD and Revit
• Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
• Perform general duties as required such as printing/plotting, submitting drawings to contractor and completing mark-ups for 'as builts' and in turn updating MCW records
• Participate in site visits
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Currently pursuing post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or REVIT an asset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Desire to work in a team based environment.
