Job summary

Egis Canada in Edmonton, AB, is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to support planning, design and delivery of electrical systems for transportation infrastructure projects, including traffic signals and highway lighting.

The role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, prepares drawings and specs, ensures code compliance, and mentors junior staff, with a focus on project delivery in regulated environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. designation with APEGA (Alberta).
  • Minimum 4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience designing and managing traffic signal and/or highway lighting design.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and related standards.
  • Experience preparing engineering documentation, specifications, reports and deliverables.
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Experience in infrastructure project environments and project delivery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement electrical systems for transportation projects, including traffic signals and highway lighting.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
