Job summary

Egis Canada seeks an Intermediate Electrical Engineer in Gatineau, QC to lead planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for transportation infrastructure projects. You will contribute to traffic signal and highway lighting designs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through design, coordination, and implementation phases.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of electrical engineering experience, a P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation with OIQ in good standing.
• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience designing traffic signal and/or highway lighting projects.
• Knowledge of CEC and municipal, provincial and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for transportation infrastructure projects, including traffic signal and highway lighting systems.
• Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Perform design reviews for technical accuracy and code compliance.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for integration of electrical infrastructure.
• Provide guidance to junior staff during project execution.
• Support client meetings and technical discussions.
• Conduct field inspections to verify installation quality against designs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
