Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of electrical engineers and designers on a variety of buildings projects.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Develop and review design concepts, ensuring alignment with project budgets, schedules, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure project deliverables, such as drawings, calculations, and reports, meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Conduct site visits, review installations, and provide contract admin support.
  • Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices in electrical engineering and sustainable design.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering for buildings projects.
  • P.Eng. designation in British Columbia.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing multiple projects in the buildings sector.
  • Strong knowledge of BC electrical codes and standards.
  • Experience with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED accreditation is an asset.

Compensation Range

  • $115K - $145K+ base salary depending on experience plus performance bonuses
