Job summary

BBA Consultants in Vancouver, BC seeks an Electrical Engineer In Training to contribute across major electrical projects from early design through site commissioning. You will work with engineers, designers and drafters to develop deliverables and support calculations, studies and field testing.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, EGBC eligibility and EIT registration, with 2+ years of experience and willingness to travel to client sites in Canada, the USA and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university is required.
• EGBC membership in good standing and EIT registration is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience.
• Familiarity with reading electrical schematics (single-line, three-line, interconnection drawings).
• Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers and drafters to prepare deliverables to client standards.
• Assist in the preparation of design deliverables under supervision of project engineers.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
• Member in good standing with EGBC and registered as an EIT
• Minimum 2 year of experience in engineering
• Familiarity with reading and preparing electrical schematics of various types (singlelines, three lines, and interconnection drawings)
• Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications
• Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations
• Strong communication (verbal and written in English), interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
• Able to travel to customer sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA, and international destinations for project short-term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests, and more
