Job summary

BBA Consultants in Sudbury, ON is seeking an Electrical Co-Op for Winter 2027. You will work with experts across Canada on mining and energy projects, contributing to detailed engineering, studies, and electrical design tasks.

Join a collaborative team and gain hands-on experience preparing drawings, data sheets, and BOMs while learning from senior engineers and designers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• College or university student in Electrical Technician/Technologist or Electrical Engineering program.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
• Available to travel occasionally between BBA offices.
• Bilingual, English/French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out study or detailed engineering mandates for clients with existing facilities or for those wanting to expand or build new facilities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary mandates as part of a work team comprised of engineers, technicians, and technologists.
• Analyze electrical design problems and develop solutions.
• Prepare 2D and/or 3D drawings in accordance with client and industry standards.
• Prepare plans, technical data sheets and specifications based on guidelines for electrical mandates.
• Prepare calculations, lists and bills of materials and ensure quality system compliance.
• Prepare presentations, minutes of meetings and reports.
• Assist more experienced personnel with technical aspects of complex tasks.

• Help carry out study or detailed engineering mandates for clients with existing facilities or for those wanting to expand or build newfacilities
• Participate in multidisciplinary mandates as part of a work teamcomprised of engineers, technicians, and technologists
• Participate in analyzing various types of technical problemsrelated to electrical design
• Prepare drawings in 2D and/or 3D models in accordance with clientand industry standards, as well as regional codes and standards.
• Prepare plans, technical data sheets and specifications based onguidelines for electrical mandates
• Prepare calculations, lists and bills of materials in accordancewith codes, standards, drawings and other established methods whilecomplying with the firm’s quality system requirements
• Prepare presentations, minutes of meetings and reports
• Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects ofcomplex tasks
