Job summary

Gold Land Architects and Engineers is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design, coordinate, and document electrical systems for new construction and renovations in residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

You will collaborate with architects and mechanical engineers to deliver code-compliant, efficient designs, perform load calculations, and prepare drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, while supporting permit processes and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in building electrical design (consulting experience preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience considered a strong asset.
• Familiarity with Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) and Ontario Building Code (OBC).
• Knowledge of Life Safety-related CSA standards such as CSA C282, CAN/ULC-S524, S537, etc.
• Strong understanding of building systems, load calculations, and lighting design.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• EIT or P.Eng. designation (or eligibility) preferred.

We are a growing architectural and engineering consulting firm specializing in residential and commercial building projects. We are seeking a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of projects.

About the Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and documentation of electrical systems for new construction and renovation. You will work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other consultants to deliver integrated, code-compliant, and efficient designs.

Key Responsibilities

Work Location

The expected pay range for this role is $60,000 - 100,000 CAD per year.
