Job summary

EXP is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Buildings) for our Markham, Ontario office. You will join the MEP team, lead design activities, and mentor staff while delivering schematic design through construction documentation for diverse projects.

Applicants should have 4+ years in electrical consulting, a P.Eng license, and proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT MEP, plus strong MS Office and electrical design software skills. Ontario regulations and codes knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• P.Eng license with PEO is required.
• 4+ years in electrical consulting.
• Experience across healthcare, residential, institutional, commercial, and industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Code, CAN-ULC and CSA codes.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD and REVIT MEP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design activities and mentor staff.
• Ensure engineering quality standards on projects.
• Develop design concepts and ensure proper execution.
• Review specifications, reports, code applications, and drawings.
• Apply risk management to projects.
• Lead schematic design through construction documents within schedule and budget.
• Conduct site visits and construction oversight.
