Job summary

EXP is seeking an Electrical Project Manager (Buildings) in Markham, ON. You will lead electrical design and project delivery for diverse building sectors, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical consulting, PEO-registered or eligible, and strong AutoCAD/REVIT MEP skills. The role involves coordination across disciplines, risk management and construction oversight in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in electrical consulting.
• P.Eng licensed with PEO preferred.
• Experience across healthcare, residential, institutional, education, commercial or industrial sectors is a plus.
• Lead & manage new construction, renovation and electrical system upgrade projects.
• Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Code and CAN-ULC/CSA codes.
• Proficient with AutoCAD; REVIT MEP proficiency desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Electrical Principal; manage projects from start to finish.
• Lead design activities and mentor design staff.
• Attend design meetings; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Ensure engineering quality standards on projects.
• Develop and review design concepts; ensure proper execution.
• Review drawings, specifications, reports and equipment selections.
• Apply risk management to projects.
• Guide design team to produce schematic design through construction documents.
• Oversee construction management tasks including shop drawing reviews and site visits.
• Prepare studies and reports on electrical system work.
