We are currently seeking an Electrical Drafter – Team Lead for our Power team. This is a new vacant position for which we are actively recruiting. Lead, coordinate, and support a team of electrical drafters/designers in the preparation of project drawings and technical deliverables.
Prepare and review complex electrical drawings, diagrams, layouts, construction details, material lists, and related documentation for overhead and underground transmission/distribution systems.
Perform and/or support design and technical calculations as required for project deliverables.
Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with client standards, company procedures, and applicable codes and regulations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate drafting staff.
Assign drafting tasks, monitor workload, and support the timely completion of project deliverables.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, clients, and other internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve design or drafting issues.
Exercise sound judgement and initiative in completing complex assignments and determining appropriate drafting methods and approaches.
Support the development and maintenance of drafting standards, templates, procedures, and quality control practices.
Assist in identifying project risks, drafting conflicts, and constructability concerns, and recommend practical solutions.
Participate in project meetings and provide status updates related to drafting progress, resource needs, and deliverable schedules.
Ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable safety standards, including relevant Canadian codes and utility requirements.

The salary range for this position is $100,000to$150,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
