Job summary

T&T Power Group, a Canadian-based firm, seeks an Electrical Designer to join its growing Engineering team. You will design electrical systems for generator control panels and automation solutions using EPLAN Electric P8, ensuring compliance with CSA standards and project requirements.

You’ll collaborate with production, service, and project management to deliver robust, reliable electrical designs across North America.

Qualifications

• Strong experience using EPLAN Electric P8.
• Thorough understanding of electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Familiarity with CSA and UL panel standards.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and control narratives.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a strong asset.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric P8.
• Create Bills of Materials, cable schedules, and maintenance manuals.
• Select components such as PLCs, VFDs, breakers, relays, and power supplies.
• Review and improve existing designs and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with production, service, project management, and engineering teams.
• Support troubleshooting, redesigns, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure designs comply with CSA/UL standards and industry practices.
