Base pay range: CA$80,000.00/yr - CA$115,000.00/yr

Position Overview

As an Electrical Designer, you will support projects across multiple disciplines to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions to our clients. Your industry experience, project management, and people skills will enable you to make a significant impact and inspire innovative engineering and water management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design detailed electrical and control systems.
• Create Single Line Diagrams and motor schematics.
• Develop material take-offs and layout drawings.
• Check redundancy designs for system communications and power supplies.
• Maintain and update electrical wiring and data sheets.
• Prepare electrical and control system deliverables, including general arrangements, detail drawings, and design sketches, following quality procedures.
• Design electrical interfacing for MCCs.
• Develop PLC schematics and loop drawings.
• Design and check lighting and grounding layouts.

Position Requirements

• Completion of a Technologist Diploma in Electrical Technology.
• Strong familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience in engineering and field design.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and material regulations and standards.
• Experience in selecting electrical devices and components for system designs.
• Experience in developing field installation standards is a plus.
• Detailed electrical design experience, including motor controls, protective systems, 600V and below distribution, lighting, grounding, cable tray, and conduit layout.
• Ability to develop and communicate comprehensive project details from start to finish.
• Understanding of ladder logic, PLCs, and DCS systems is advantageous.
