Job summary

CBCL Limited is seeking a Group Lead for Electrical Buildings in New Brunswick to guide a team of engineers and technologists across NB projects. The role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and strong client engagement to deliver high-quality electrical building designs.

You will oversee design work, mentor staff, support proposals, and collaborate with project managers to ensure schedule and budget adherence while advancing CBCL’s electrical buildings practice.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with provincial Engineering or technical association.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor electrical engineers and technologists, guiding workload planning and performance.
• Oversee electrical buildings design: power distribution, lighting, life safety, communications, security and controls.
• Support business development and client relationships, representing the Electrical Buildings group with credibility.
• Coordinate project delivery with project managers to meet quality, budget and schedule.
• Promote innovation and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure designs comply with electrical codes and standards.
• Support site reviews, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings and address field issues.
• Contribute to group planning and growth through resource planning and standards.
