Job summary

CBCL Limited seeks a Group Lead, Electrical Buildings in New Brunswick to guide a team of electrical engineers and technologists across NB projects, including Moncton, Saint John, and Fredericton.

You will lead the design, analysis, and coordination of electrical building systems, mentor staff, contribute to client relationships, and help grow CBCL's Electrical Buildings practice while ensuring quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

Qualifications

• A Degree in Electrical Engineering or a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with provincial Engineering or technical association.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant electrical buildings design experience with leadership.
• Strong experience in electrical building systems design including power, lighting, fire alarm, communications, security, and controls with knowledge of codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technologists.
• Oversee design, analysis, and coordination of electrical building systems.
• Support business development and maintain client relationships.
• Coordinate project delivery with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote innovation, knowledge sharing, and a collaborative environment.
• Ensure quality and compliance with codes, safety standards, and building requirements.
• Support construction site reviews, RFIs, and field issue resolutions.
• Contribute to group planning and NB growth for CBCL.
