Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, part of Johnson Controls, is hiring an Electrical Apprentice in the Edmonton area (Nisku). You will assist with installation, termination and assembly of electrical systems, panels and control devices under a Journeyperson’s guidance.

We offer exposure to cutting-edge data center cooling technology, with rotating day and night shifts, and a safety-first manufacturing environment in Alberta. Strong safety focus and basic reading of schematics are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be registered as an Apprentice Electrician in Alberta and enrolled in trade school.
• Minimum 500 hours of electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate conduit, cable, electrical equipment and panels.
• Assist construction and fabrication of control panels; rough-in and finishing wiring.
• Install interlocking wiring and assist with verification and checkout.
• Work with electrical system components per applicable codes (CEC/NEC/NESC/NFPA/UFC).
• Assist with installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical control circuits.
• Support material take-offs and identify required equipment.
• Assist with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical isolation procedures.
• Support review of facility electrical plans and identify efficiency improvements.
• Assist testing of installed or modified equipment for proper operation.
• Maintain maintenance reports and documentation per procedures.
