Job summary

Johnson Controls - Silent-Aire is seeking a skilled Electrical Journeyman in the Edmonton region to install, maintain and repair electrical systems for data center equipment. You will oversee apprentices, interpret complex drawings, and ensure compliance with NEC/NESC/NFPA and UFC standards in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires hands-on expertise in conduit, control panels, motors and power distribution, with a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Alberta Journeyperson Electrician Certificate; Red Seal asset.
• Experience supervising, mentoring and supporting apprentices as per apprenticeship standards.
• Proven experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specs to plan electrical installation, maintenance and repair work.
• Provide guidance and verification of apprentice work per Alberta legislation.
• Install, terminate and test conduit systems, cables, equipment, panels, sensors and control devices.
• Construct and wire electrical control panels and systems; perform rough-in and final wiring.
• Lead lockout/tagout and energized work assessments per safety programs.
