Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for a diverse team.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks safely.

Responsibilities

  • Install and terminate conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and control components.
  • Construct and fabricate control panels and rough/finish wiring.
  • Install interlocking wiring and perform wiring check out.
  • Install system components and wiring in compliance with NEC, NESC, NFPA, UFC.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits for motors and devices.
  • Provide material take-offs for electrical equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Monitor parts usage and report material issues.
  • Assist in preparing maintenance schedules.
  • Perform duties in safety program standards.

Overview

This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work Friday-Sunday Nightshift (6 PM - 5:30 AM).

Overview

The 2nd yearApprentice Electricians areprimarily responsible for installing andterminatingconduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices for Silent-Aire Limited Partnership. This position constructs andfabricates control panels/systems and installs interlocking wiringand performs wiring check out.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Install andterminateconduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices.

  • Construct and fabricate control panels and rough and finish wiring and control systems.

  • Install interlocking wiring and perform wiring check out.

  • Install system components and wiring in compliance with the NEC, NESC, NFPA and the UFC.

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, andmaintainelectrical control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devices.

  • Provide material take-offs for electrical facilities equipment requirements.

  • Propose changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for facilities.

  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.

  • Test installed/repaired/modified equipment for proper performance.

  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.

  • Keep detailed andaccuratemaintenance reports and documentation.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.

  • Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.

  • Assistin preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.

  • Performs all dutiesin accordance withSilent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Registered as an apprentice electrician in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school.

  • Ability to work under the supervision of journeyman electricians, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment.

  • Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations an asset.

  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Able to work well under pressure.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionallyat all times.
