Job Summary:

The Motor Rewind Technician will rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain a safe and friendly workplace environment. Promote safety by leading as an example with the proper PPE when working or travelling through the work areas of the workplace.
  2. Inspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.
  3. Test conditions of windings according to EASA AR100.
  4. Document all relevant data specific to the equipment’s electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, damage, or serviceability.
  5. Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment.
  6. Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
  7. Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment, including single-phase, three-phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors, and transformers, observing proper insulating techniques.
  8. Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to EASA AR100 and document results.
  9. Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
  10. Operate specialized repair and testing equipment such as winding machines, test panels, surge testers, and others.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including employment agreements.
  13. Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor.
Physical Abilities:

Must be able to:

  • Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs, talk, and hear.
  • Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs, stand, walk, use hands, and reach.
  • Occasionally lift/move more than 100 lbs, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • See clearly at 20 feet with or without corrective lenses, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
Qualifications:
  • More than 8-10 years of experience in Motor Rewinding.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to understand, perform, and retain training and safety procedures.
