Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to support the Mississauga manufacturing facility and Brampton distribution center. The role focuses on developing and administering EH&S programs, promoting a proactive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with OHSA, MECP, and CSA standards.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in safety or environmental science and 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental science, or closely related field.
• 1–3 years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze data to draw sound conclusions.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to participate in team processes, influence team engagement, and drive decisions.
• Knowledge of current safety and loss control practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve environmental, health, and safety programs and systems.
• Work with site leadership to promote proactive EH&S culture and risk reduction.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA, MECP, and CSA standards through program execution.
• Support LOTO, WHMIS, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, and other programs.
• Assist WSIB processes including claims management and return-to-work coordination.
• Participate in JHSC activities and maintain required certification.
• Conduct incident investigations and perform root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Coordinate NPRI reporting, hazardous waste management, and ECA compliance.
• Deliver EH&S training and orientation for new hires.
• Maintain EH&S records, data, and reporting systems.
