Position Summary: The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties to support the Pharmacist in providing patient care. The Pharmacy Assistant participates in all pharmacy operations as a team member and plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service.

What you'll do:

1. Receiving prescriptions: Collect prescriptions from patients, ensure completeness (Name, Address, DOB, Allergies, 3rd Party info, Special Requests, Prescriber, Generic/Brand, Prioritization per 21st Century Guidelines).
2. Computer functions: Perform data entry, price checks, update patient information, interpret prescriptions, process refills, generate reports, and check patient profiles as directed by the Pharmacist.
3. Filling prescriptions: Under pharmacist supervision, select appropriate products, perform accuracy checks, label, organize for pharmacist review, and facilitate cognitive services.
4. Inventory control: Maintain stock levels, check for expired medications, manage returns, order drugs and supplies, operate pharmacy equipment, and manage stock organization.
5. Housekeeping: Stock supplies, keep the dispensary clean and organized, and maintain equipment and work environment safety.
6. Clerical organization: File prescriptions, invoices, reports, and support administrative functions as assigned.
7. OTC operations and cashier duties: Assist with over-the-counter product stocking, ordering, and cashiering as directed.
