Our Senior Sales Representatives are responsible for selling research products and services within a defined territory. They maintain effective customer relations, develop growth opportunities within existing customers, and ensure market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. This role is ideal for an energetic professional looking to expand their sales skills with a company that is a world leader in the industry.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Lead territory to ensure effective customer relations with purchasing and end users within the assigned territory.
  2. Utilize available resources to meet customer needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams of suppliers and internal resources.
  3. Manage the strategic direction for the territory; develop sales strategies to meet plans and expand business; maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  4. Perform sales calls and manage vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the territory.
  5. Stay informed about competitor and industry activities, new products/services, and general information of interest to customers, incorporating this data into the business plan.
  6. Introduce new products and services.
  7. Lead pricing strategies within the territory to control profitability.
  8. Maintain accurate reports, records, and files for proper territory management.
  9. Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively at all times at customer locations.
Keys to Success:
Education

Bachelor's degree, preferably in the sciences.

Experience

5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry or lab experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet use.
  • Organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong industry, pharmaceutical, and science background preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position based in Canada is $67,900.00 - $101,800.00.
