Job Description

  • Prepare and follow-up on invoices for clients including, but not limited to Group bills, Tours, FiT’s and OTA’s, Air / Rail Crew, ALL / Ovations / Res Plus .
  • Ensure that billings are accurate and prepared on a timely basis.
  • Attend pre-convention meetings and meet with clients on site for invoice review.
  • Maintain AR and AR-related files in the Accounting office.
  • Assist Credit Manager in follow up and collection of outstanding accounts.
  • Punctually respond (within 8 hours) to inquiries of guests and staff and comply with reasonable special requests.
  • Ensure accurate application of payments to accounts.
  • Ensure correct billing of inter-company transactions.
  • Open posting masters and follow up with Catering for method of payment.
  • Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures contained in the Finance and Accounting Policy and Procedures Manual, Section 3.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
  • Perform any other reasonable duty as required by the Credit Manager.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Hospitality.
  • Prior knowledge of PMS Opera.
  • Prior Customer Service experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet knowledge.
  • Prior Accounting courses and / or Hospitality Accounting knowledge a plus.

Physical Aspects of Position (included but not limited to) :

  • Frequent sitting throughout the shift.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting & carrying up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
