Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Role Impact : Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, and collaborating with other HR business partners, you will support associates and managers through case work, performance management, succession and talent planning, and coaching. You will influence the development of the HR strategic plan and lead HR initiatives nationally. You will work with senior leaders, managers, and employees across Canada as a trusted advisor, guiding situations towards solutions that promote inclusion, fairness, and safety. You will need to act independently with confidence, aiming for seamless practice excellence nationwide with tact and stakeholder awareness.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist employees and managers in employee relations, performance management, reward, and issue resolution.
  • Provide guidance on employment standards and legal concepts with Legal Counsel.
  • Collaborate with recruiting on strategies for client teams, including campus, diversity, immigration, and competencies, and coach managers on talent pipeline management.
  • Advise leaders on policy and program administration, ensuring alignment with guidelines.
  • Conduct coaching, interviews, or evaluations to support culture and individual development.
  • Contribute to projects related to health & safety, pay equity, compensation reviews, job leveling, and employee engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of talent management and performance improvement principles.
  • Understanding of investment concepts (asset if applicable).
  • Clear, honest, and collaborative communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new applications.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to solutions, exceeding client expectations.
  • Proficiency in French is an asset (bilingual preferred).

Educational / Experience Requirements :

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, business, or social sciences.
  • At least 7 years of HR advisory, generalist, or talent management experience, preferably in financial services or a related environment.
  • Experience working with managers and staff on performance, development, and interpersonal skills.

Licenses / Certifications :

  • CPHR or coaching credentials preferred.

Travel :

  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
