Job summary

Heritage Christian Online School in Kamloops is seeking a part-time Education Assistant to support a 3-6 classroom one day per week in the 2026/27 school year. The role is on-site, contractor, with 5+ hours weekly.

You will assist in social, spiritual and academic learning, help with IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers and families to tailor learning opportunities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Zoom is helpful.

Qualifications

• Background working in Education, EA Support, Behaviour Intervention, or with children/youth
• Professionals with non-EA specific credentials are encouraged to also apply (e.g., psychology, behaviour analysis, social work, coaching, mathematics, etc.)
• A valid Certified Educational Assistant certificate (or training in process) is considered an asset

The Position:

We are seeking a dynamic Education Assistant to work on-site one day per week in our Kamloops Community Connections class for the 2026/27 school year. This is a part-time contract position that may grow in hours over the course of the school year, depending on student needs and EA skillsets.

• Location: Kamloops, BC
• Grades: 3-6
• Schedule: Wednesdays, 9:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
• Hours: 5+ hours per week

As the Education Assistant your duties and responsibilities will include:
