Heritage Christian Online School in Kamloops seeks an Education Assistant to support Grades 3–6 in our Community Connections class. This on-site role is one day per week during the 2026/27 school year, with potential growth in hours as needs arise.
You will assist with social, spiritual and academic learning, connect with students individually or in small groups, and collaborate with teachers and parents to tailor personalized learning.

We are seeking a dynamic Education Assistant to work on-site one day per week in our Kamloops Community Connections class for the 2026/27 school year. This is a part-time contract position that may grow in hours over the course of the school year, depending on student needs and EA skillsets.
Location: Kamloops, BC
Grades: 3-6
Schedule: Wednesdays, 9:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Hours: 5+ hours per week
As the Education Assistant your duties and responsibilities will include:
Supporting the social, spiritual and academic learning needs of students, providing mentorship to the whole person
Connecting with students individually or in small groups
Collaborating with the teaching staff and the parent to support personalized learning opportunities
Assisting in carrying out IEP goals, working alongside the broader student support team
Background working in Education, EA Support, Behaviour Intervention, or with children/youth
Professionals with non-EA specific credentials are encouraged to also apply (e.g., psychology, behaviour analysis, social work, coaching, mathematics, etc.)
A valid Certified Educational Assistant certificate (or training in process) is considered an asset
